The goverment are missing the boat :they have a fantastic opertunity to help the Failing car industry and help with the uk carbon foot print
By doing away with car tax duty & putting the duty on fuel . They'd be giving the public the chance to purchase vehicals suitable for the situations they find themselves in day to day,ie . People with large families buy 4x4 s ,which are mainly put to full use on the weekend yet they still use them in the week for commuting to work whta a waist of fuel .They need to be able to have a smaller car for the right situation . I think this would definetly kick start people to start buying cars New and Used
